On October 12, 2021 Counter Balance participated in "The European Green Deal: A Step Forward, Sideways, or Backward?", an event organised by the Institute for Policy Studies.
The topic at hand? The European Green Deal (EGD) and whether or not it is a model for the rest of the world or a large-scale exercise in greenwashing?
Together with 4 experts we explored this question in depth. From the side of Counter Balance, our very own Clara Bourgin participated and explored how the EGD is being financing and the inherent problems that come with the way it is currently structured. This question forms the heart of our most latest report: "The European Green Deal: Reclaiming Public Investments for a real Socio-ecological Transformation".
