Joint CSO Submission on the EIB's Environmental and Social Policy
Back to overviewAs part of the public consultation on the review of its Environmental and Social Sustainability Framework (ESSF), 25 civil society organisations sent a joint submission to the European Investment Bank's (EIB) urging it to improve its policy and standards.
Signatories of this submission express their disappointment about the draft Policy, as it does not bring any significant improvement to the current EIB Statement of Environmental and Social Principles and Standards. It is mostly a harmonisation and technical updating exercise, missing the objective of enhancing the EIB’s impacts.
